My next step would be to use DDU to delete all graphics drivers from the system, and then repeat some of the steps listed, but I heavily doubt any different results.ĭoes any know know what I could do as well? Anyone can help me?ĮDIT: I have tried both the frond and back panel connectors, and checked the audio connector as well.I have this new build windows 10 pc with really annoying mic input problem. I noticed a windows update, so I updated windows and tried the previous steps again. I also checked whether the onboard audio was disabled in the bios, but it was enabled. I updated the bios, since an older version was installed, but this did not change anything. I uninstalled the graphics card drivers (not with DDU) and all geforce software, restarted the computer, installed Realtek HD audio manager and installed the graphic driver software (checked perform clean installation).

I repeated this step with both the Realtek drivers listed on /support and via the gigabyte APP centre. It also shows up in "Apps and Features" but windows appears to not recognise it or something. When I searched for the "HDA" folder, which contains the launcher for the HD audio manager, no realtek folder shows up in Program files.

A new folder did show up in c:Program Files x86, suggesting that it did install.

Upon restarting, I assume the driver is installed, but alas, still no new audio device in device manager. exe and the installation screen shows up, completes and tells me to restart. I restarted the pc with the headphones already connected, no luck.Įvery time I try to install this driver, however, nothing happens. I checked if all the drivers were up to date, the were. I enabled display hidden devices, but it still did not show up. So I thought to myself, well I'll just install this driver. When I opened device manager, I noticed that under both "Audio inputs and outputs" and "Sound, video and game controller" only one audio device was listed, namely: Nvidea HD audio. This is where the trouble began.įirst I thought that he simply did not tell windows to use the headphones, so I right clicked on the speaker in the taskbar -> "sounds" -> "playback" -> no headphones show up, only the monitor (via HDMI). At this point, I noticed I forgot to install Realtek HD audio manager. Looking more closely into it, when plugging in the headset, windows does not recognise a change in audio device. My first incentive was a faulty headset, but it works on my PC, so that was ruled out quickly. While everything works flawlessly, hey came up to me and said that his sound ( his headset specifically) does not work. I am new to the forum, so please let me know if something about this post is wrong/weird.Ī couple of weeks ago, I build a new PC for my little brother.
